We particularly love this selection of PVC pieces designed by Lebanese designer Peggy Raphael Dabar. Lebanon is constantly changing and many of the beautiful old buildings from which she draws inspiration are being replaced by modern apartment buildings. Her designs are a reminder of the beautiful heritage of this spectacular, complicated Mediterranean country.

Loom weaving or nassij is considered to be among the oldest professions in history dating back to at least 4400B.C, drawing on skills previously developed through basket making. As soon as weaving was discovered, striking patterns evolved, from the mingling of different coloured threads leading to an extensive oriental trade. This trade led to a blend of culture, technology and religion.
