On a rooftop in the heart of the souqs of Aleppo, you will find a small factory, printing silk scarves in the same way they have done for decades, if not centuries. The open air of the rooftop is apparently ideal for the silk printing process and we certainly love the final product!

We especially love the fact that these traditional motifs and natural dyes can produce such amazingly contemporary looking scarves, perfect for adding colour and texture to everyday outfits. Great for travelling too.

Background: the city of Aleppo in northern Syria sits squarely along the old silk route and has been a bustling trading city for years. In the centre of the old city in the shadow of the citadel are the old souqs, host to a wealth of tiny stores, warehouses and factories. This is our world!
