Unusual and beautiful, this Square Cushion is embroidered with Multicoloured Silk Thread and Beads to create a contemporary look. The patterns used are in fact age old, used by Middle Eastern Bedouin (nomadic tribes) for centuries.

Produced by a cooperative of women in Syria who use this indispensible income to pay for agricultural and educational projects.

Also available in a Light Cool Grey.

Materials: Cotton & Silk Thread.

Dimensions: 35cm x 35cm (These are designed to fit Ikea cushions - basic but they serve a purpose! We have sourced these and they are included in the price. Please indicate if do not want it!)

Item Story

Produced by a cooperative of women in central Syria, these shawls are truly multi-cultural and the same time as being 100% Syrian. The project is overseen by a German lady who set up the organisation over 20 years ago to provide much needed income for women in underprivileged areas of Syria, drawing on traditional Syrian and Palestinian embroidery, skills and designs.
