This small factory stands just outside Bab Sharki, one of the main gates into the Old City of Damascus. As Damascus slowly opens up and changes, so does its landscape. That land is now slated for redevelopment, but thankfully the authorities have decided to preserve the factory, much to the delight of fans like us who love being able to walk there after a day out in the Old City.

The glass used for many of their products is recycled which adds to the charm. We love the fact that Mustard/Brown and Green glass products from the factory used to be Lebanese and Syrian beer bottles.
